So many video games are about flash and excess. Chess is about chess. Just chess. This is a simple game that does one thing—provide players with a traditional, non-flashy version of the classic board game to play on their PlayStation. You can play a friend via multiplayer or take on several different computer opponents, each of which is more difficult than the one before. Of course, even the “easiest” computer opponent isn’t that easy. Sometimes, the simplest games age best, and if you’re looking for a solid game of chess for your original PlayStation, Chess still delivers. Just chess.
