Speed Racer review. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Speed Racer for the Super NES developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Accolade.
Based on the popular anime franchise, Speed Racer is a hybrid game on the Super NES. It consists of 3D racing levels that utilize the platform’s Mode 7 technology, but before you get to race, you have to platform. The other half of the game is classically styled 2D action stages in which players must run, jump and beat up bad guys. Once they finish the platforming level, they get to jump behind the wheel. Players can play as Speed Racer or Racer X. Speed Racer is a single-player game on the Super NES.
