At CES 2026, EE Times spoke to Cornel Amariei, Founder & CEO of .lumen, a startup that has developed technology to enable visually impaired and blind people to walk around without a guide dog or stick. Their 'self-driving technology' for pedestrians come in the form of glasses for the blind.

In this video you can watch the interview with the CEO, and also see EE Times' Nitin Dahad try out the glasses while blindfolded on the exhibition floor at CES in Las Vegas.
