On today's adventure into the deserts and rocky cliffsides of West Texas, we're gonna be searching for two very similar bugs, but they do have some major differences: one is poisonous, but friendly. The other is venomous, and not! That's right, we're gonna be looking for the giant desert millipede, and the giant desert centipede, and taking a look at the major differences between these two species! That's right, it's time for centipede vs millipede! As always we hope y'all enjoy this video :D
These two inverts can often be confused, both having similar sounding names, however, when compared side by side, centipedes and millipedes look quite different, and vary a lot from a biological standpoint. Centipedes are venomous, and are capable of delivering a pretty painful bite, whereas millipedes are poisonous, and should NOT be eaten, but are harmless otherwise. The giant desert centipede and giant desert millipede vary in color and appearance throughout their range, but will always exhibit certain common traits.
