South Metro Fire Rescue, in collaboration with Centennial Airport is proud to announce that we are the first in the state of Colorado to implement fluorine-free firefighting foam!
Our proactive efforts to mitigate environmental impacts demonstrates our commitment to becoming a global leader in sustainability. By adopting this eco-friendly firefighting solution, we're taking a significant step towards reducing harmful chemicals in our environment. South Metro Fire Rescue ARFF apparatus Red 1, Red 2, and Red 3 now all provide new Solberg 3% MIL-SPEC synthetic fluorine-free foam, Purple K, and water to respond to incidents on and off airport.
