Hello guys!
This was streamed over at twitch.tv/rickfernello
I stream Celeste sometimes for things like this!
"Ultra Difficult" is a Celeste map that is inside the Spring Collab 2020 mod for Celeste. It is one of the two "cracked" red Grandmaster difficulty map, which makes it one of the hardest maps in the Spring Collab.
UD name and minimalistic aesthetics are inspired by Dustforce, which is a hard platformer, and which its last levels are named "Difficult", and this soundtrack that plays on UD is also from Dustforce, and it's called Frozen Hot Sauce. In Difficult, your character also becomes a silhouette and the blocks and background are very low detail; which means those maps are focused on the difficulty of them.
UD uses very much a mechanic in Celeste called "Ultra Dashes", which are difficult-to-perform dashes which increase your speed. And as such comes the name of the name, Ultra (for Ultra Dashes) and Difficult (for Dustforce), which makes it a pun that the level is very difficult.
The fun thing about UD is that you need to go FAST.
nyoom your way to victory.
At the end of the last screen, there is a unpassable spike-wall. You cannot demodash through it. The only way to pass through it, is so that you go so fast that you clip through the spikes, or the map's camera is out of view and the spikes are not rendered, essentially breaking the game because of your speed.
As someone pointed out, this is "the Celeste equivalent of breaking the sound barrier".
The first time I completed it, I think it took me over 2.500 deaths to just do it one time alone; more than it took me to complete Farewell!
As always, I didn't think I could do this berry at first.
But I love Ultra Difficult, and I just felt like I wanted to do a deathless run of it.
As expected, it felt extremely satisfying!
I still don't know how long it took me, but I believe it was over 30 hours of attempts + normal gameplay of it. I believe it took me 3 hours to complete it on my first time.
Thanks for everyone that participated in the creation of the Spring Collab 2020, and I'm glad that I will be a playtester for the Strawberry Jam 2021! Expect more absurd maps like this one!

![Celeste - Full Playthrough and cutscenes (no commentary, no deaths) intended walkthrough [Part 1]
Requested by a viewer, so I thought why not :)
In this run, I do no skips or speedrun strats, and I watch (almost) every cutscene up until Summit.
I actually forgot the special binocular cutscene at the end of Summit, so I gave up on doing a true ending run, but wanted to upload it anyways.
My intention with this was to give players the most authentic Celeste experience available on Youtube without having to play the game. Forgive me that I forgot to check most binoculars, specially the one on Flag 4.
I know this is not the usual insane gameplay video, but I actually really appreciate the game design of Celeste, and I wanted to showcase some of the neat little things that the game does to make you discover more about it without using words, and how everything is perfectly doable even without insanely safe strategies.
I might upload part 2 including Core and Farewell if this video does well.
Im still experimenting with Youtube and just recently got Partnered, so let me know what kind of content you enjoy the most! I do a bunch of Celeste hard things.
Hope you enjoy!
