Celeste Beard Johnson became one of Texas’s most notorious “black widow” killers after orchestrating the 1999 shooting death of her wealthy husband, Steven Beard. Manipulative, media-savvy, and unrepentant, she has given numerous interviews over the years while serving a life sentence.
Nicholas “Pickles” Camfield shocked the small town of Weatherford in 2013 when he brutally murdered his close friend J.D. Doss with a pickaxe, then spent days mutilating and defiling the body. Camfield later pleaded guilty to capital murder and is serving life without parole.
