Pearl Pours are finicky... there are lots of ways it can go wrong. The consistency has to be right, you have to have the right ingredients, and you have to tilt A LOT of paint off of the canvas for the pearls to appear. While I didn't get the results I was expecting from this pour, it has quickly become one of my favorite paintings I've ever made! The gold spray paint adds so much interest to the negative space and I cannot WAIT to try this again.

Want to know the secret to learning to make art? Mix up some paints and play! Give yourself the freedom to make mistakes and learn from them. You'll surprise yourself - I guarantee it. And you'll have lots of fun!

Now grab yourself some paints and BE FEARLESS!

All of my paints were mixed with equal parts Color Tree PPM & water to thin.

I 'rescue' any paint that gets spun or tilted off by scraping it off of the table, straining it and saving it to use as a base coat for future pours. Very little waste!
