On December 15th, 2012, a special press conference was held at the Air Canada Centre to formally announce the ground-breaking sponsorship of Peak Sport as the official sports apparel of the Toronto Raptors.
No expense was spared for the event, which delivered incredible Chinese-themed festivities and treats, including a live traditional Chinese Lion Dance opening and Dim Sum catering.
Raptors Broadcaster Matt Devlin moderated the press conference alongside Peak Sport Chairman Xu Jingnan and SVP of Business Partnerships at MLSE David Hopkinson.
The main tie-in to the announcement was Kyle Lowry, who is one of the star NBA players representing Peak. In addition to his promotional appearance for Peak at this event, he also hosted a Youth Basketball Clinic immediately proceeding the conference.
Canadian Chinese Youth Athletics Association was up close and personal with exclusive coverage and media access throughout the entire event.
