HappyCabbie's entery into the 2010 Pwnage Olympics Event #4 Educational Pwnage.
I bring to you CatholicDan. I am not entirely convinced that this is not a sock account. He created a youtube channel 2 months ago. However in his first video he responds to AngieTheAntitheist. He has not posted any videos since. It is a very odd behavior to join YouTube, upload only one video, and then have no activity since then.
He does have a blogger account, a facebook and a twitter. So he is not new to the internet, he updates those sites often. I just find it odd that he just recently discovered the world's largest town hall and quit using it after posting just one video.

The issue in question for the bulk of his video is denying that the "petty gossip" alluded to here by Reuters was referring to the latest sex abuse scandal and in particular his prior involvement in covering up that abuse.

My question to CatholicDan is, what possible other "petty gosip" could the Pope have been referring to? At the time of his speech his cover ups of sex abuse scandals back when he was a Cardinal was big news

However at the end of the video he addresses me. I claimed that a percentage of the money given in the offering plates is used to pay for the lawyers of the Church to defend against these allegations. CatholicDan wants to know proof of this.

"Every dollar you give to the Catholic church a small percentage will be given to lawers to defend the church against these sexual abuse cases. Won't you give today???"

Do you actually doubt what I said. In other words do you doubt that a percentage of the money placed in the offering plates at Mass is given to lawyers to defend the church against sexual abuse allegations."

"@HappyCabbie Yes, I do doubt that. Because I work for a Catholic Church and I know for sure that none of our collection money goes to those types fo things. So please supply your source."
At that time I informed him that he would be in an upcoming video for the pwnage olympics
Now some figures are not available. Such as how much annual revenue a church makes, and how much total revenue a diocese makes. However we do know the total amount paid spent by the Catholic church in settlements, lawyer fees, and other abuse related costs. That is $104 million dollars

Also we should point out that not every Diocese has had a sex abuse allegation. However for those that have it is a simple algebra equation to find the percentage.
