Errata: at 33:15:OO, "They are on the same scale" is meant to be "They are on the same axis". Project 1 for DES523 Information Design: Data Visualization. San Francisco State University, Fall 2020. Make a clustered bar chart in Numbers (Mac) and Excel with two variables (two sets of bars next to each other). Make Excel use the third column (years) for the category labels of the x-axis. In Tableau and Excel, make the two sets of bars overlap; vary the width of the bars in front so that they are clearly a different set from those in back. Best for showing an increase in the same category, for example comparing time 1 with time 2. Can work well as horizontal bars too. Misc: from Excel, "Save as Adobe PDF" if the simpler "Save as PDF" displays garbled type when opening the PDF in Illustrator.
