A "hero" mother cat and her kittens were rescued from a sweltering boiler room in London, UK after she managed to keep her babies alive for three weeks in 113°F (45°C) heat. One year old Barbie was discovered with her three week old kittens after residents heard persistent meowing inside a block of flats. The family were rescued and taken to Blue Cross, where Barbie and one kitten have since found new homes.
