Whew, finally got something finished. It's been a while since the last song I uploaded. In the meantime, I've worked on other songs as pieces for various community collabs currently ongoing. I've also got some remakes to get to doing, so I've been quite bogged down as of late. On top of all that, I've been distracted playing Fire Emblem Three Houses, so add that to the list of stuff that's slowed me down :P
This song was a deceptively tricky one. It started out fairly simple, just figuring out where to cut off the piano and general instrumentation, but it soon ramped up with those echoing flutes. Big shoutout to VolcanBrimstone again; it was with his help that I eventually got the flute to sound the way it does. I went ahead and used the same technique with the cars later on in the song. This one was quite the doozy. I hope it turned out well.
As for the song itself, it's easily one of my top three or four favorites from Aria of Sorrow, along with Castle Corridor, Clock Tower, and Heart of Fire. As far as themes for the approach to the throne room go, it ranks up there with the likes of Dawn of Sorrow's Pinnacle and Portrait of Ruin's Gaze Up at the Darkness and its rendition of Overture as the best of the bunch.
