My 2024 Halloween Special Part 2 of 4.
For part two of my Halloween Special of 2024, I have the sequel of the Shikigami no Shiro trilogy, Shikigami no Shiro 2, originally released in arcade machines sometime in 2003. Released on the Playstation 2, which is shown here on November 17th, 2004 in North America courtesy of XS Games. (Was Xseed once XS games?) This game was also ported to the original Xbox, the Sega Dreamcast and even the friggin' Nintendo Gamecube if you can believe it! But only released in Japan though. Once again, I played as Kokuga, the main character of the Shikigami no Shiro franchise. I played up to stage 3-2 before my credits ran out. I'm sure you can gain more credits the more you play this game. I think this one is a good one, check it out if you are a fan of supernatural content or shoot 'em ups in general.
Wait what? Shikigami no Shiro was originally an anime series? Or maybe that's a lie? I saw the copyright for Kids Station in Japan at the title screen.
On another note, I was originally going to use my PS3 to record a playthrough to this game, but then I found out this game works on my PS2 slim. It uses the CD format rather than DVD most likely due to cost reasons. I also used my RetroTink 2x and hooked it up to my Elgato HD60.
