Ok folks, here's a game I got for Christmas in 2024 along with Illvello on the Wii and Reynatis on the PS4, I have Maglam Lord, which was originally released on the PS4 and Switch in the spring of 2021 in Japan and early 2022 in North America and Europe courtesy of British distributor PQube, published by D3 and developed by Fellistella. I have no idea what other games this small studio developed. Maybe some titles on the PS2, PS3, PSP or the PS Vita. In this game, you either play as a badass male or female demon lord and other characters like Darius, Charme, M.O.A.V. and others kicking ass, forging maglams and going out on dates in this visual novel/action RPG inspired by the old Tales of games from Namco. Tales meets Baldr perhaps? Just imagine this one being released in the 1990s on the Playstation and Sega Saturn.
In this playthrough, I selected the female demon lord, playing the prologue and some parts of chapter one for over an hour. And I gotta say, this is a pretty good game that flew under my radar like that Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid game. Is this one a hidden gem? I'd say so, but it isn't a masterpiece though. The music is good, the graphics are decent and the gameplay here is solid. I think you might like this one.
