In this DROPS video we show you how to cast on stitches without measuring the strand end first. This method is useful when you need to cast on many stitches. It’s known by several names, such as knitted cast on, long tail cast on without a slip knot, long tail cast on without a tail.
BEFORE THE VIDEO STARTS:
Pull the strand out from the ball and make a starting loop about 10 cm from the end.
Place the loop on the left needle and tighten gently. Use the right needle to cast on the stitches.
THE VIDEO SHOWS:
All the stitches being cast on.
