I have never wanted to touch wood while it's cutting so bad in my life! I did manage to refrain from doing it until after the carving was done, but I just couldn't believe how smoothly the wood carved. The surface finish left by the tapered ballnose bit is dang near perfection! Now we just need to get the spoon flipped over and carve the other side.
