This Amp was gifted to me from someone in the community as a non-working device in need of both electronic and cosmetic repair. We can hear in the initial test that the amp barely operates, albeit, it does. We will remove the amp from the cabinet and have a closer look.

It would seem that the problem, upon disassembly is entirely contact related, and having completely cleaned all contact surfaces, the functionality was returned to working order on the bench. This however, was the easy part.

The outer cabinet fabric was covert with dirt and pet hair. I'd opted to cover areas with masking tape which I used to clean out the fabric itself, followed by beard trimmers which took off the nappy portions of the material.

Further disassembly allowed for the cleaning of the speakers which further removed the last of the distortion.


Finally, my father came by to test out the amp since I do not own a bass guitar.
