Here's an antique Rotary convert which is basically an 12 to 120v inverter but with no solid state. It consist of an dc motor that turn an alternator that produce the 120v ac at roughly 60 hz. The 2 side are insulated from each other and also produce a close enough sine wave. It's still a bit dirty so I will clean the whole inverter. Thanks for watching.
