Merry Christmas, my friends!
Soooo unfortunately the vlog I had planned for this particular Christmas ended up having to be cancelled because of personal reasons (Read: NORTH DAKOTA WINTERS SUCK)
Luckily, the other video I had planned (this one), I can still release on time!
This is a remake of a symphonic metal arrangement of Carol of the Bells I threw together in GarageBand two Christmases ago. However, since then I've upgraded to Reaper, and have also gotten much better at guitar playing. Therefore, I decided to remake it.
While the original used 100% simulated guitars, this remake uses real guitars I recorded myself for the rhythm guitar, although the lead guitars (including the solo) and acoustic guitars are simulated.
This version also has a couple new sections (including a breakdown) and a rewritten guitar solo!
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION:
"I call it a 'reimagining' instead of a 'cover' because for one, there are so many different versions of the Christmas carol that there isn't really one version I can cover, and two, it doesn't quite follow the same structure of the carol when it comes to what parts of the song play at what times.
