Carl Gwartney is 90 years old. When he was eleven years old he made a "Hot Dog Machine" as part of a skit for a Boy Scout fundraiser.
He put his little dog inside a box on top of a table and closed the lid, then began to crank a handle on one end of the box. Out the other end he pulled a string of hot dogs, still strung together.
When Carl finished grinding, and when all the hot dogs had been pulled out of the machine, he picked up the box and started to walk off the stage. The box didn't have a bottom, so Carl's little dog was left standing there. Everyone laughed.
