This month we’re welcoming the Seoul-based electronic music duo Salamanda, composed of Uman Therma (known as Sala) and Yetsuby (known as Manda). The pair met in 2018 through a friend, bonding over a love of contemporary classical and experimental music.
Salamanda have been enchanting listeners since 2019 with their debut album “Our Lair”. They released their dreamy fourth LP “ashbalkum” last June, on New York City’s Human Pitch label. The album explores the relationship between reality and dreams.
In addition to appearing in the upcoming issue of WIP magazine, Salamanda also created an ethereal mix for this month’s radio show. The mix features a selection of released and unreleased tracks, as well as alternative versions of older compositions and some live show recordings. Enjoy.
