Gost Zvuk:
Carhartt WIP Radio welcomes Gost Zvuk, a Moscow based label founded 2014, which has changed the perception of contemporary electronic music from Russia. The imprint releases experimental techno, mesmerizing ambient and leftfield electronics, as well as tool-oriented club music, hip hop oddities and early electronic music from their homeland – creating a sound spectrum is spacious and always surprising.
For Carhartt WIP Radio, Gost Zvuk founder Ildar Zaynetdinov – aka DJ Low808 – has created a mix that features unreleased, upcoming material, as well as recent tracks from the Gost Zvuk catalogue.
As always, we also sat down with this month’s host to discuss Gost Zvuk's musical roots, the inspiration behind his label, its future and its DNA rooted in Russian history. Check the full feature at carhartt-wip.com/journal/music.
