Carbuncle is an eidolon that Eiko can summon, learned from a Ruby. After being mastered, if Eiko equips an Emerald as an add-on, Carbuncle's summon ability becomes "Emerald Light", which bestows Haste onto the party. With the long summon animation, it also bestows Protect. One Emerald is obtained from the high priest in Cleyra.
