Car wont start and the easy fix. Or so I thought and I wasn't too far off. The battery was seemingly good and that's what threw me off. In the morning our truck was only ticking or clicking continuously but not starting or turning over. I was able to get it started by cleaning the battery terminals and clamps, then tightening them down real good. The truck did turn on fine for most of the day but in the evening it went back to it's old ways. The weird thing is that it was an intermittent problem. One would think that if the battery is dead, the car won't start no matter how many times you try right? I ended up replacing the battery just to make sure and now it has been two weeks, the truck is starting up like a champ every time. My conclusion is that it was simply a weak battery.
