Here I advocate for a greater focus by atheists and agnostics on internal problems and tensions within Christian theology. I argue that it is important to emphasise the explanatory inadequecies within the Christian view, and highlight two examples for initial discussion: the Incarnation and the Atonement. I argue that existing theories to explain these doctrines are inadequate, and as such both of these teachings pose significant problems for the plausibility of Christianity.
