Canyonlands Overlook is a hidden Moab off-road trail that leads to some of the most incredible canyon views we’ve seen in Utah. Located about 45 minutes outside of Moab, this low-trafficked BLM trail starts smooth and scenic before turning into a rocky desert route with technical obstacles, steep rock drops, and an unforgettable cliff-edge camping area.
In this Canyonlands Overlook trail review, we cover what to expect from the route, where to stage and air down, the trail difficulty, key obstacles, canyon overlook viewpoints, camping opportunities, and what type of vehicle is best suited for the final section.
