This 3-day onX Offroad Rugged Adventure takes us to Mammoth Lakes, California, riding plated dirt bikes through one of the most diverse trail networks in the Eastern Sierra. Join me and the crew as we link alpine lakes, volcanic landscapes, high-country single track, and scenic Forest Service roads across over 100 miles, using the onX Offroad app to build routes, navigate, and stay connected in remote terrain.

We chose Mammoth for its terrain variety and high elevation β cooler temperatures, a break from the Southern California heat, and a massive trail system ranging from technical single track to flowing high-country routes, making it one of California's best dirt bike and adventure riding destinations.
Day 1 climbs the rugged mining road from Shady Rest Park to Laurel Lakes, Mammoth's iconic alpine destination, then passes Lookout Mountain, an ancient volcanic landmark. Day 2 features Gilbert Ridge, a technical high-country single track, before wrapping up at the Tiger Bar in June Lake. Day 3 links Hartley Springs, SPIR, and the Dry Creek trail on Mammoth's northern side for a scenic final ride.
Whether you're planning your own Mammoth Lakes off-road trip, researching Eastern Sierra dirt bike trails, or into adventure riding and GPS off-road navigation, this video covers plated dirt bike routes, high-elevation single track, and how onX Offroad helps plan and adapt on the fly.
Thanks to Okie for building this route, and to the WLF crew β Payton, Josh, Bravo, Jake, Bobs, and Bob. Subscribe for more onX Offroad adventures and trail guides, and let us know which Eastern Sierra trail we should ride next.
