At Ecosia we don't just plant trees. We restore landscapes and we make sure they stay healthy for decades to come. How do we do this?
1. We plant the right tree in the right place (e.g. in personal farms to make sure existing forest is protected)
2. We involve local communities in how and where the trees will be planted
3. We regularly monitor the trees for growth and health
4. We also regularly review our tree-planting method and change course when needed (e.g. if rain patterns have changed)
We do all of this thanks to, firstly, our amazing, local partner organizations and, of course, the millions of users switching their search engine to Ecosia 🫶🏼
