CANCELLED CROSSOVERS
We start off with Black Adam vs Superman, This is one of many films cancelled with the ending of the DCEU in favor of James Gunn’s new direction for the films. It obviously would have had Dwayne The Rock Johnson as Black Adam fighting Henry Cavill’s Superman but Black Adam flopping at the box office made it clear this wouldn’t happen. I guess the hierarchy of the DC Universe didn’t actually change.
Next we move on to Samus’s scrapped fortnite collab. In 2021 court documents from Epic’s legal battle with Apple showed a few scrapped collabs. Most shocking was Samus Aran being scrapped from Fortnite due to Nintendo not wanting their characters to appear on other consoles. Nintendo’s greed truly knows no end.
Moving on we now have a scrapped Micheal Myers and Pinhead crossover which would have been called “Helloween”. This film was supposed to be made after the success of Freddy vs Jason which would have seen Pinhead trying to possess Micheal. The film was cancelled due to both the Halloween producers and fans not having any interest in the concept.
Next we have a scrapped TV movie between Miraculous Ladybug and another french animated show Ghostforce. The CEO of ZAG posted images on instagram hinting at a crossover between the two series about a decade ago but in 2023 during the premiere of “Miraculous Paris” it was confirmed to be cancelled.
Lastly we have The Search for Mickey Mouse. This film would’ve been a celebration of Mickey’s 75th anniversary and would’ve seen Mickey being “Mouse-Knapped” and Minnie seeking the help of Basil from the Great Mouse Detective to help solve the case. Other characters from Alice In Wonderland, Aladdin, Peter Pan and other Disney characters would’ve appeared throughout the film. It’s said to have been cancelled due to nobody being happy with the script trying to manage so many crossovers which is funny considering movies with several crossovers would eventually happen like Ralph Breaks The Internet and Chip ’n Dale Rescue Rangers.
