A father and son make the most of their social distancing by walking up "The Whiskey Jack Trail" ... in the 1990s :-) They were WAY ahead of their time. Another delightful segment from Canadian Sesame Street (Episode 3370), with thanks to +Rohail Hashmi. About half of this film was used for a Creature Feature segment with a totally different song sung by Jerry Nelson (bit.ly/3fAAsVK).
I can't say for sure *which* of the multiple Whiskey Jack Trails in Canada this was filmed at (two linked below in Alberta and Ontario), but I'm guessing Ontario. And, yes, the birds they're feeding are nicknamed Whiskey Jack although their actual name, one becoming sadly more popular, is Gray Jay. Such a dull name for a sweet little bird.
Catchy tune, but, alas, I have no sweet clue who's singing it.
Finally, one project so easily kind of blends into another these days as I attempt to keep sane. This one led me to the greatest Canadian troubadour and darn fine human this country ever knew, Stompin' Tom Connors. I think you'll find his links well worth a wander if you need a smile and a toe-tappin' good time today. Cheers and stay safe out there, kids!
