Today we try a problem from the British Physics Olympiad Round 1 which might also be useful in preparation for the upcoming round 0 ( BPhO Round 0)
It is a classical mechanics problem on the fall of a chain and the maximum reaction force that it produces. The solution also assumes that it falls down at g.
