A permacrisis is an extended period of instability, where you lurch from one unprecedented, catastrophic event to another. As soon as you get through one crisis, another pops up to take its place.
We used to be able to say, “as soon as we get through this, we’ll be able to deal with that.” But that ideology is simply not possible these days.
