Part 2 discusses Alma's questions to THE CHURCH!
Can you imagine standing before Holy God the moment after you die? What will that be like? Alma asks this to the church. Will you rejoice in your cleanliness knowing you are forgiven? Or-- will you want the rocks to fall on you knowing you are fill of sin and filthiness and having a perfect knowledge of that filthiness? You want to hide but you can't?
There were very important questions asked by a prophet to the church. It deals directly with the often asked question "Are you Saved"? In fact the prophet asks that very question as well. This is the heart of the message to the church. Where the focus of every member should be.
ARE YOU SAVED? Have you spiritually been born of God?Have you received His image in your own countenance?Have you experienced a mighty change of heart?Do you have no more disposition to do evil?Are you free from all pride?Are you free from envy? If you were called to die today, could you say within yourself that you have been sufficiently humble?
Are you free to love the world as Jesus loved?Are you in need of a savior?
There is no other name given and no other way or means that salvation can come unto the children of men- Only in and through the name of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent
Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ Moro 10
We are called to love God and one another as Jesus loved.
This takes a lifetime of submitting to Him, praying to Him, using the Holy Spirit as your guide, to be changed and transformed into a citizen fit for The Kingdom.
DO NOT LOSE SIGHT OF THE GOAL!
Behold He sends an invitation to all men, and His arms of mercy are extended toward them, and He says "Repent and I will receive you. Come unto Me and you shall partake of the fruit of the tree of life"
