Today I am back at Integrity RV in Mesa, AZ. They sold what might be the best looking 2009 Beaver Marquis I have seen that looks nearly as good as it did 15 years ago when it was made. While the luxury and beauty shines, this is also on the last versions of the top tier Roadmaster chassis made by Monaco at the time. While groundbreaking in its design and build, the Kongsberg Multiplex system that was used is its weak point. Unfortunately, both the electronics company and Monaco soon went bankrupt after the release and the components became instantly orphaned without support which can make replacement parts and repair very difficult on these critical components. This 2009 Marquis on has 16k miles on it, but the smart steering wheel which controls the wipers, horn, and cruise control has become unresponsive at times while working at other times. I was asked to see what I could do to preserve this amazing luxury home on wheels, and while I intentionally would have replaced the clock spring I was hoping I would find that other Monaco owners were having a similar problem and found that someone had developed a very easy repair and wanted to share what I had learned from @Monacoers-kx1zb

I am very hopeful that the online and Monaco owner's group with help from Frank will be able to finally find a more durable solution to extend the life of these Kongsberg components as these Monaco diesel pushers from 2008 and 2009 set the bar higher than most modern luxury RVs are capable of and we can keep them on the road making wonderful memories.
