What a stupid question. Of course I can't. I'll get to Diamond Weapon and then it's over because he's immune to physical attacks. Next question, please! Why I'm still doing the challenge? Because I want to see how it plays out and how low I can keep my levels. Once I do get to DW, I'll just skip the battle to see if I could still finish the challenge if he was possible. Anything else?

Oh yeah, what exactly is Berserk? You lose control of your characters, and they will only use their regular attacks every turn. The good thing is that you get 50% more damage. If there's more than one target, they will pick one at random. Stuff like Slash-All and Double Cut will work. This is the challenge where I get to be a viewer, since all you can do is start the battle, sit back and hope the good guys win. In other words, all the strategy will be in preparations, like choosing the right equipment and materia, as well as level up when necessary. It should be mentioned that this is not a Fury Ring challenge, as I'm using gameshark codes to automatically have the status at the beginning of battles. You have to do that for Red in his first battle anyway.

Since many of the battles will be short and have roughly the same strategy, there's no point dragging this one out for months with one video per battle. Instead, it will be divided into "chapters", covering specific parts of the game, usually with 4 or 5 battles per video. There will be 10 chapters in total and the videos will also be sped up 50%. This first chapter covers the battles in Midgar before the Shinra HQ.

MP x2 (0:00) - I included this one for some reason. Not much to say.

Guard Scorpion (0:13) - The challenge has only just started and immediately there's a problem. They will attack when the tail's up, so you'll see the dreaded laser at least three times. No problem for Barret, but you will lose Cloud. Putting him in the back row only would have made things worse because he would only do half damage. Thankfully, Barret can finish him off before the tail goes up again.

Air Buster (2:04) - Since he kept turning around at the right times, I only got back attacks, so it was over quickly. Still, it wouldn't have been much to worry about, as you can tell by how much HP I had left.

Aps (2:54) - This is a bit more of a worry, but mostly because I forgot to buy Tranquilizers. If he keeps using his tail attack and he gets to do the backwards tsunami, you might actually lose this one.

Reno (4:22) - Since they will target the pyramids, this ends up being the easiest of the first four bosses.

Even though it got a little close with a couple of these, this is just warm-up. Next time, we'll tackle the Shinra HQ where things get a lot more intense.
