The controversy concerning the role of women in ministry, serving as pastors, elders, deacons, and various church leadership roles continues to be aggressively debated among respected theologians and denominational leaders.
All true Christians agree that the Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice.
Therefore, on this contentious issue, it is critical that we carefully examine what the scriptures say about the biblical role of women in ministry.
1 - Are there examples of women in ministry in the Old Testament?
2 - Are there examples of women in ministry in the New Testament?
3 - Is there an equality provided for women in the New Covenant?
4 - Is there an example in the New Testament of a woman pastor?
Key Scriptures for today’s teaching: 1 Corinthians 14: 33-40
Other Scriptures in this study: Galatians 3:26-29
