Tonight we kick off an all-new Monday Night Adventure as Prop Job begins its journey around the world with one of aviation's greatest classics — the mighty Douglas DC-6.
Designed to carry passengers in luxurious comfort between the world's great cities, the DC-6 spent its career connecting places like New York, London, and Paris.
Naturally... we're taking it somewhere completely different.
Our first challenge takes us to southern Africa. Departing King Shaka International Airport near Durban, we'll head inland to Harrismith before attempting one of the most infamous airstrips on the planet — Matekane Airstrip in Lesotho.
Perched high in the mountains, Matekane is famous for its runway ending at the edge of a 1,600-foot cliff. Used by humanitarian organisations and flying doctors to reach isolated communities, it's a destination where precision, planning, and confidence matter far more than speed.
Can a classic four-engine airliner really conquer one of the world's most intimidating runways?
There's only one way to find out.

Harrismith (FAHR) – Our final fuel and preparation stop before entering the mountains.
Matekane Airstrip (FXME) – A remote mountain runway ending at a 1,600-foot cliff, relied upon by humanitarian flights serving isolated villages throughout Lesotho.
Douglas DC-6 – A classic airliner built for comfort, now being asked to tackle one of the world's most unforgiving destinations.
