Can a $300 gaming PC actually play some of the biggest games in 2025? That’s exactly what I’m testing today. This is Reclaimer — a build I put together using nearly 10-year-old hardware: i7-7700K, GTX 1080 Ti, and 32GB of DDR4. In this video I throw a much tougher lineup at it: Apex Legends, Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Armored Core VI — and a few more. With a cheap cooler, cheap case, and smart used market shopping, you can realistically build something like this for around $300 to $400 depending on how patient you are with the deals. And of course, we’ll also talk about whether it might make more sense to save up a bit more for something newer — like an AM4 build with a 6700XT — if you’re starting completely from scratch. Honestly, the results surprised me more than I expected. There were some games that it just can't really handle, but most of what you throw at it, it can handle very well at 1440p.
