Halfway through 2025 and… yeah, my backlog is not looking great. I started the year with solid momentum, really trying to be intentional about what I played and finished. But somewhere in the second quarter, I fell off — bouncing between games, trying stuff, not sticking with anything. It got me thinking: are backlogs actually helpful… or are do they negatively impact how we enjoy games? There is a real joy and satisfaction to finishing a game you own, and that is worth chasing, but also sometimes intentionality can feel like a never ending homework assignment, so where is the right balance What’s your backlog looking like right now?
