The 2013-2020 Ford Fusion generation in the USA can’t take E85. If your Ford vehicle is Flex-Fuel and it may take E85, you will have a yellow cap over the fuel inlet saying that it’s a Flex-Fuel car. If you don’t have this yellow cap, you should always buy unleaded fuel with the maximum ethanol content of 15% (E15).
Unless it’s clearly stated in the manual or on the fuel inlet that your car can take E85, you should never use it to fill up the tank in your vehicle. Such fuel may lead to corrosion in expensive components of the injection system and in fuel lines which will lead to extremely expensive repairs.
