Choosing a campsite while backpacking can be challenging. Understanding the camp triangle can help you make an informed decision about how to set-up camp. In addition to considering where to cook, store food, and sleep, make sure you know which direction the wind is blowing. Ideally, you always sleep up wind from your food.
