In this video we'll show two ways to make feather sticks. Feather sticks are used to help you start a campfire; they are great in wet conditions because you are basically shaving the wet wood away. The thin shavings you expose underneath the bark are nice and dry and will burn quickly and easily.
These techniques take practice, so grab a knife and a straight stick and get to work! Don't wait until you actually need one to try and make one, practice makes perfect.
