It’s Camp Nanowrimo! Almost one week in and I’m already behind on my 30-hour goal. 😓 I think it’s a combination of practically being in a state of jet lag (is anyone else’s sleep messed up due to being stuck at home all the time?) and the fact that I’ve decided to tackle a much more challenging project than I originally expected, and every time I sit down to write, it shows.
How? Simply, I have an image in my head and I can’t bring it to life with words. Or I write a few sentences, and realise I don’t know where the scene should go from there. Or I get to the end of the scene, only to realise I haven’t actually built the relationships or communicated the message the way I originally wanted to. It’s a bit frustrating having something so ambitious in my head and not knowing how to tackle it.
But the purpose of Nanowrimo and Camp Nanowrimo is to get writing again, so I’m trying not to get too stuck. How’s your camp going?
