This was once an affluent neighbourhood. Every house would have exceeded a million dollars in value. Very few homes in this area remain in tact.
In early October 2017, California suffered the worst rash of wildfires in its history. My home town, Santa Rosa, was badly affected - over 5,000 homes burned down, I know many people who have lost everything.
Some people say It is insensitive to take and display these videos. Personally, I think it is important not only to document this, but to show outsiders the extent of the damage, as survivors of this calamity still very much need support.
I took footage at 3 sites. There are 2 more videos like this per site, and there are several badly damaged areas I did not take footage of. So, what you see here is only a sample of how bad it really has been.
