The girder installation for #CALAX Expressway Bridge 6 along Arnaldo Highway in General Trias, Cavite was carried out on August 21, 2025, from 12:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. A total of eight type 6 girders were scheduled to be lifted within a strict six hour window. If the contractor failed to complete the work within that period, the continuation of the lifting activity would have been postponed for weeks since new permits and clearances from the LGU and Meralco would need to be secured, given the power lines situated right beside the bridge.
The operation used tandem lifting supported by two Goldhofer trolleys for girder transport. Stop-and-go traffic management was implemented along the busy Arnaldo Highway, with light rains experienced around dawn.
