In today's case study we are looking at a 2007 Cadillac CTS with a V6 3.6L engine. The customers complaint is that the vehicle intermittently will not start, also the key is stuck in the ignition lock cylinder. The vehicle will not release the key. On top of those concerns, the charging system is not charging as it should. charging sytem voltage hovers around 12.5v while running and only intermittently will it begin charging normal. The shop that was looking at the vehicle noted that when they used a scan tool to check for codes, they found multiple communication codes for the class 2 serial data bus network.
