CAD BATTLE - FreeCAD vs. OnShape
The second episode of CAD Battle, I revisit the box construction, this time without parameters to keep it short.
I run two free CAD design programs side-by-side, the first is the Open Source "FreeCAD" and the second is the free to use ( not open source, and with one small limit ) cloud based "OnShape."
OnShape is according their website the first fully cloud 3D CAD. The free version allows you to design freely but your designs are public, this seems fair to me.
The CAD BATTLE BOX, is a public document, it wasn't obvious how to share it so if you search I am sure you can find.
I had been hoping to pit OpenSCAD against TinkerCAD but TinkerCAD is unusable on my old computer.
At about 4 minutes I mistakenly call OnShape, OpenShape, my mistake, that's not its name.
All in all I would say OnShape is a great tool, looks like they have a giant team, so my guess is there is a lot more to come.
