Ride the head end of Amtrak's train #3 and P42 locomotive #18 on BNSF's Raton Subdivision between Raton and Wagon Mound, New Mexico.
This is the Santa Fe's old "passenger route", and there's still plenty of AT&SF flavor in this part of New Mexico, including a multitude of operating semaphores.
