Need a simple B/X carousing procedure that burns down party wealth and pushes the campaign forward between adventures? Here’s a fast, table-ready system you can run in minutes: pick a spending tier, choose a carousing intent (rumors, contacts, laying low, or pure chaos), roll 2d6, and get results that matter—rumors, contacts, and playable trouble that creates new hooks instead of stopping the game.
This is designed for old-school play: gold gets spent, the town feels alive, and the party walks out with actionable leads for the next delve. I also include an optional minimal XP rule that won’t turn downtime into an XP farm, plus short rumor and trouble tables you can reuse forever.
